No Outlet

Each one of us is an outlet to God and an inlet to God.~Ernest Holmes

The first thing you see as you come onto my street is a sign that says No Outlet.  At the end of my block there is a cul-de-sac on the side of an elementary school where parents, teachers and all sorts of delivery trucks drive around almost everyday.  There is only one way on to my street and one way off.
In the bible The Dead Sea is known to have no outlet. The Dead Sea which is also know as the Salt Sea is 417 meters below sea level and is the lowest point of earth in any land mass.  The amount of water that evaporates from it is greater than the amount that actually flows into it.  This makes it the body of water with the highest concentration of salt in the world.  It is referred to as the Dead Sea because of its high concentration of salt prevents any life form to exists in it.  This same salt is known to have several healing properties.  The mud and the air is the area of the Dead Sea also are noted to have several health benefits.

Ezekiel 47:1-8 gives a wonderful vision of a stream of water flowing from the temple in Jerusalem with increasing volume as it sweeps down to the Sea of Arabah (Dead Sea).
"Then he brought me back to the door of the temple, and behold, water was issuing from below the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was flowing down from below the south end of the threshold of the temple, south of the altar. Then he brought me out by way of the north gate and led me around on the outside to the outer gate that faces toward the east; and behold, the water was trickling out on the south side.
Going on eastward with a measuring line in his hand, the man measured a thousand cubits, and then led me through the water, and it was ankle-deep. Again he measured a thousand, and led me through the water, and it was knee-deep. Again he measured a thousand, and led me through the water, and it was waist-deep. Again he measured a thousand, and it was a river that I could not pass through, for the water had risen. It was deep enough to swim in, a river that could not be passed through. And he said to me, "Son of man, have you seen this?"
Then he led me back to the bank of the river. As I went back, I saw on the bank of the river very many trees on the one side and on the other. And he said to me, "This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, and enters the sea; when the water flows into the sea, the water will become fresh."

Are you on a path where once you get to the end that it just circles back around setting you right back where you started?   At times God has us to do things over because we may have missed somethings the first time and by the second time we travel down that road of uncertainty that we might pick up on some of the things we may have missed out on by not being aware of our surroundings.  If we are seeking God first (Matthew 6:33)  in every decision no matter how small it my seem then we shouldn't feel that there is No Outlet.  God is our Outlet from the way this world is.
