Virus Protection

Recently my laptop got an infection with a numerous amount of viruses that had the capability to shut down all normal functions of my computer. This virus seemed to be so bad that I just knew that everything I had saved on it was going to be lost.  So I took my computer to a friend who fixes computers.  Of course he had to wipe my computer clean.  I was overjoyed that my computer was functioning again but was not too thrilled about all the things that had  been lost.
My 12 year old later logged onto my laptop under his name and password and did some searching and found all that was lost.  He was able to retrieve all the information that I thought were gone.  This in a sense is what God is saying to us.  In order for us to retrieve those that are lost that we have to go through His Son,Jesus Christ Our Personal Lord and Savior so we can use His name and password in order for us to gain access to not only God but the keys to salvation.   John 3:17 states For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge(to reject, condemn,to pass sentence on) on the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.
Virus protection software is designed  to prevent viruses, worms and trojan horses from getting onto a computer as well as remove malious software code that has already infected a computer.  We should look at the bible as our virus protection.  The bible is designed to prevent certain distractions and mayhem from affecting our lives by reading the word and by also helping to remove what has already been damaged in our lives. Psalm 119:105-112 MSG reads By your words I can see where I am going: they through a beam of light on my dark path. I've committed myself and I'll never turn back from living under your righteous order. Everything is falling apart on me,God; put me together again with your Word. Festoon me with your finest sayings,God;teach me your holy rules. My life is as close as my own hands, but don't forget what you have revealed. The wicked do their best to throw me off track, but I don't swerve an inch from your course. I inherit your book on living; It's mine forever--what a gift! And how happy that makes me!I concentrate on doing exactly what you say--I always have and always will.

Empty Sink

For several days in a row I would run a sink full of water for my dishes to turn back around to the water being drained out.  Each time before running the water I placed the drainer trap in the sink and  had run water to see if it was staying in,and it passed my initial inspection and it seemed to have held the water.  While waiting for the water to cool the water had apparently drained out leaving me quite baffled. Then as I ran the water again this came to me; are we properly testing the spirits?  Are we making sure our ear and eye gates being guided by the correct spirit or is it of one that can give you a temporary fix to a problem but in all actuality drained you quicker because it was not of the right spirit. The bible states in 1 John 4:1  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God, because many of false prophets have gone out into the world.  Thessalonians 5:21 states Test all things, hold fast to that which is good.  In this day in age we have to gird ourselves (Luke 12:35 Let your loins be girded, about and your lights burning;) and make sure that we get to know the word of God for ourselves not just on Sunday's.  The more you get to know His word the easier it will be for you to discern what is from God and what is not of God. We don't want to be that sink we think is full of  hot soapy water when we are actually that empty sink with dirty dishes that still need to be washed. Acts 3:19  tells us to Repent ye therefore.and be converted, that your sin's be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come into the presence of the Lord.  Repent means to turn away from sin and dedicate one's self to the amendment of ones life. It also means regret and to change ones mind.  If you are battling with the same things over and over again, then maybe it's time for a change so you can start to enjoy life the way God intended for us.

No Outlet

Each one of us is an outlet to God and an inlet to God.~Ernest Holmes

The first thing you see as you come onto my street is a sign that says No Outlet.  At the end of my block there is a cul-de-sac on the side of an elementary school where parents, teachers and all sorts of delivery trucks drive around almost everyday.  There is only one way on to my street and one way off.
In the bible The Dead Sea is known to have no outlet. The Dead Sea which is also know as the Salt Sea is 417 meters below sea level and is the lowest point of earth in any land mass.  The amount of water that evaporates from it is greater than the amount that actually flows into it.  This makes it the body of water with the highest concentration of salt in the world.  It is referred to as the Dead Sea because of its high concentration of salt prevents any life form to exists in it.  This same salt is known to have several healing properties.  The mud and the air is the area of the Dead Sea also are noted to have several health benefits.

Ezekiel 47:1-8 gives a wonderful vision of a stream of water flowing from the temple in Jerusalem with increasing volume as it sweeps down to the Sea of Arabah (Dead Sea).
"Then he brought me back to the door of the temple, and behold, water was issuing from below the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was flowing down from below the south end of the threshold of the temple, south of the altar. Then he brought me out by way of the north gate and led me around on the outside to the outer gate that faces toward the east; and behold, the water was trickling out on the south side.
Going on eastward with a measuring line in his hand, the man measured a thousand cubits, and then led me through the water, and it was ankle-deep. Again he measured a thousand, and led me through the water, and it was knee-deep. Again he measured a thousand, and led me through the water, and it was waist-deep. Again he measured a thousand, and it was a river that I could not pass through, for the water had risen. It was deep enough to swim in, a river that could not be passed through. And he said to me, "Son of man, have you seen this?"
Then he led me back to the bank of the river. As I went back, I saw on the bank of the river very many trees on the one side and on the other. And he said to me, "This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, and enters the sea; when the water flows into the sea, the water will become fresh."

Are you on a path where once you get to the end that it just circles back around setting you right back where you started?   At times God has us to do things over because we may have missed somethings the first time and by the second time we travel down that road of uncertainty that we might pick up on some of the things we may have missed out on by not being aware of our surroundings.  If we are seeking God first (Matthew 6:33)  in every decision no matter how small it my seem then we shouldn't feel that there is No Outlet.  God is our Outlet from the way this world is.

Sower's debt

Proverbs 19:5  A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he who breathes out lies shall not escape.

What you sow is what you reap is a phrase we all have heard time and time again.  So what exactly does it mean?  The most common example would be compared to a farmer planting seeds for his harvest.  If the farmer has planted good seeds into the earth he should receive a good harvest.  Then there is the possibility of weeds and other natural disasters such as a drought or frost that  harm the crops. When you look at these natural disasters you can look at them in two different ways.  Is this punishment from God or is it an attack from Satan.  In this case it really doesn't matter.  If you are planting bad seeds all you will get is weeds and brier patches that's Satan's attack.  If you plant a seed and the harvest is destroyed by frost or a natural disaster it is the wrath of God. So where am I going with this? If Jesus paid the price for our sins then why are some still in debt to sin? It's because we are not planting the right seeds in the right dirt.  In this day and time there are a slew of  Tel-Evangelist,Preachers and Pastor's that have us all twisted on how we are to sow unto our God.  What we have been tricked into believe is that if we send this ministry this amount of money a month that we are doing the right thing.  It's not true and it's time we wake up and see the truth.  2 Corinthians 4:3-5 3But even if our Gospel (the glad tidings) also be hidden (obscured and covered up with a veil that hinders the knowledge of God), it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing and obscured [only] to those who are spiritually dying and veiled [only] to those who are lost.
4For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers' minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.
5For what we preach is not ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your servants (slaves) for Jesus' sake.
 The only debt we have is to Jesus because he paid the price for our salvation.  We have to realize that when we sow into a church or ministry that it should doing it because we our sowing unto God not that preacher,prophet or whatever title they use.  See the preacher,teacher,prophet,apostle,etc. are only the vessel that God uses to transmit His message.  We have to be careful this day and age because there are a lot of false christ popping up.You are not  to worship the physical leader of a ministry.  The only one you worship is God. Exodus 34:13-15 13But you shall destroy their altars, dash in pieces their pillars (obelisks, images), and cut down their Asherim [symbols of the goddess Asherah];
14For you shall worship no other god; for the Lord, Whose name is Jealous, is a jealous (impassioned) God,
15Lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and when they play the harlot after their gods and sacrifice to their gods and one invites you, you eat of his food sacrificed to idols,
Be careful my dear friends the devils whole purpose is to steal kill and destroy.John 10:10  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.  Christ is there to shine a light to the truth. Sowing a seed is does not have to be monetary.  It's whatever you put into the Kingdom. The only requirement of a seed is that you give it from you heart. Examples of seeds that are not monetary is anything that honors God from volunteering in your community to giving away possessions.  The next time you feel in adequate about not giving  to a church or ministry money for offering I challenge you to ask God how do I settle this debt.  To truly honor God whatever you sow must come from the heart and not because someone told you to do it. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8  Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Crossroads

Jeremiah 6:16-20 MSG                                                                                                                         God's Message yet again:
"Go stand at the crossroads and look around.
Ask for directions to the old road,
The tried-and-true road. Then take it.
Discover the right route for your souls.
But they said, 'Nothing doing.
   We aren't going that way.'
I even provided watchmen for them
to warn them, to set off the alarm.
But the people said, 'It's a false alarm.
   It doesn't concern us.'
And so I'm calling in the nations as witnesses:
'Watch, witnesses, what happens to them!'
And, 'Pay attention, Earth!
   Don't miss these bulletins.'
I'm visiting catastrophe on this people, the end result
of the games they've been playing with me.
They've ignored everything I've said,
had nothing but contempt for my teaching.
What would I want with incense brought in from Sheba,
   rare spices from exotic places?
Your burnt sacrifices in worship give me no pleasure.
Your religious rituals mean nothing to me."
When you hear the word crossroads you may think of a road that crosses into another road or a vital decision that has to be made. We all have gotten to the point in our lives where we reach a crossroad and have to make an important decision on which path should be taken.  If its not the path that God intends for us to take we will find ourselves at another crossroad scratching our heads wondering which way to go. It is always important to seek the kingdom of God first (Matthew 6:33). When you get to a crossroad in life sometimes it's best to take the road less travelled. The road that most people wouldn't take because they are unsure of the path in which it is going.  If you head in the same direction everyone else is going you will get lost in the crowd and end up trying to do what everybody else is doing.  Everybody is not the same so everyone needs to go towards the path that our Heavenly Father has laid out for them. When you go on your own path you may have to leave some people behind because they are not meant to go on the same journey that God has for you. Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  The next time you get to a crossroads in life make sure the path you take is the path that's best for you through God and not the path that others have mapped out.
